1. Who We Are

PaidEarly is operated by Synov8 Studio. We provide an automated invoice reminder service for UK freelancers. Our website is synov8studio.com and our service is available at paidearly.vercel.app.

2. What Data We Collect

When you use PaidEarly, we collect:

  • Account data: your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
  • Invoice data: client names, email addresses, invoice amounts, and due dates you enter
  • Payment data: subscription status via Stripe (we never see your card details — Stripe handles all payment processing)
  • Usage data: basic analytics about how you interact with the dashboard

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to:

  • Send automated payment reminders to your clients on your behalf
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Improve the service
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the service (Supabase for storage, Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery).

4. Lawful Basis (GDPR)

We process your data under the following lawful bases:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the PaidEarly service you subscribed to
  • Consent: you provide invoice data voluntarily
  • Legitimate interests: to send reminder emails to your clients (you initiate this)

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase servers in the EU (West EU, Ireland). We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is deleted within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Data portability
  • Withdraw consent at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email reminders@synov8studio.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Third-Party Services

PaidEarly relies on these third-party services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (EU-hosted)
  • Stripe — payment processing (never stores card data on our servers)
  • Resend — email delivery
  • Vercel — hosting

Each service has its own privacy policy. We have data processing agreements in place where required.

8. Client Email Data

When you enter a client's email address into PaidEarly, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to send them communications. We process this data on your instructions (as a data processor) and you are the data controller for that data.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session management). We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies that identify individuals.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
